About me:


I am Tracey the founder and Managing Director of the Pocket Watch Assistant established during the coronavirus pandemic in June 2020.


I decided to take charge of my own life and dedicate my career to helping numerous businesses as a Virtual Assistant, specialising as a Property Virtual Assistant.  I am a Virtual Assistant in the North West and I am currently based in Cumbria, home to the beautiful Lake District.

I have found my calling in life and that is working for myself.  Not only that but, I have been able to adjust my work life balance so that it works for me and my family. 


Many business owners are consumed by the reality of working for themselves, the hours that are consumed, the snowballing never-ending to-do list, the things that crop up that they didn't even know existed until now.  When working for yourself, you don't really want to have to go down the route of employing someone.  However, working with a Virtual Assistant adds so much more value and you are not tied to an employment contract, along with the expenses that come with employing someone, such as holidays, pension and sick pay.


My question for you is - what does time mean to you?

Our body is one big ticking clock.  Life is the most precious and valuable time we have.


Do you feel consumed by your business, which stops you from switching off?

It is impossible for us to run on empty.


Your business is important to you, but so is your mental health and wellbeing.


What do you need to do to adjust your crazy work-life balance?

  • Look after your mental health and well-being
  • Take time off for yourself and your family


We only get one life - make every second count!


I was once consumed by the hectic working life too.  I made changes to my life and now my job is to assist you with the time you don't have, that is what my business does.  It helps ease the pressure you are under for you to regain control.

Experience:


I started my career some 20 years ago - the year of the millennium!  Before going self-employed I most recently held the following employed role for a number of years:


Property Services Coordinator

To Property Services Manager and Property Services Team dealing with all of the property repairs and maintenance queries tenants, staff and family had, to assisting the Property Services Manager with schedules and projects.  I worked within an Estate Office alongside management including the Group CEO and company directors, with regular contact with the family of the Estate.  I spoke to contractors daily to instruct work and created all of the Property Services purchase orders, job sheets and checked invoices for payment.  I was required to keep an up to date record of electrical, boiler testing and chimney cleaning certificates, chasing or instructing of any lapsed certificates.  I also dealt with any administration from invoices, timesheets, holidays to making sure works vehicle services and mots were up to date, employee training and machine services to taking calls and diary management for the Property Services Manager and Property Services Team.


Qualifications:


  • Level 1 to 3 Diploma in Administration, PA and Secretarial
  • A distinction in Touch Typing and Audio Transcription
  • GNVQ Business and Finance
